OTR/L, RM, RYT
I am a Licensed Holistic Occupational Therapist and Energy Worker, certified as a Usui and Holy Fire® III Reiki Master, with 20 years of experience in a variety of settings. I am also certified in Psychotherapeutic Reiki and in Level 5 Melchizedeck Method, a high vibrational healing method. Sessions may be interwoven with teaching cognitive behavioral and stress management techniques, coping skills, CranioSacral Therapy, mindfulness, meditation, and therapeutic yoga. I have experience providing Reiki on the oncology unit at Brigham and Women's Hospital, in an outpatient clinic, and in various hospice settings. As an occupational therapist, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, home care, hospice, and designed and directed a program for people with mental illnesses, including developing and leading groups in meditation, coping skills, cognitive behavioral techniques, and expressive arts.
In my early 20s, I underwent three painful back surgeries and severe spinal complications which led to being primarily bedridden for 2 years, and debilitated for many more. Realizing that traditional medical treatment had its limits, I embarked on my own healing journey. From learning complementary treatment approaches, education, meditation, yoga, and journaling, I reclaimed my power and life. My journey has enabled me to truly understand the importance of treating the whole person, and helping others embrace the fullness and uniqueness of who they are.
I feel honored to have the opportunity to work with people and am grateful for the beauty that can be created from two people working together towards the same goal, whether it be relaxation, decreased pain, stress management, emotional/physical/spiritual healing, or learning to connect more to one's inner self.
